Penalty for unauthorised person sitting or voting 54. (1) Any person who sits or votes in the House of Assembly knowing, or having reasonable grounds for believing, that he or she is not entitled to do so shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding 1,000 United States dollars for each day on which he or she so sits or votes. (2) The penalty referred to in subsection (1) shall be recoverable by action in the Supreme Court at the suit of the Attorney General.
